Life is too short not to find yourself on a beach with a cocktail in hand, watching the sunset.

I couldn’t help but fall in love with Rarotonga and the charm of the locals.

Rarotonga is the largest of the Cook Islands and offers a beautiful blend of natural beauty, Polynesian culture, and outdoor activities. Here's a 4-day itinerary for your trip to Rarotonga:

Day 1: Arrival and Relaxation

Morning

Arrive at Rarotonga International Airport. After checking in at your chosen accommodation, take some time to settle in and relax.

Afternoon

Head to Muri Beach, one of the island's most stunning beaches. You can sunbathe, swim, or try water sports like snorkeling or kayaking.

Evening

Enjoy a beachfront dinner at a local restaurant, savoring traditional Polynesian dishes and the fresh seafood.

Day 2: Explore the Island's Culture and Nature

Morning

Start your day with a visit to the Punanga Nui Market in Avarua. You can find local crafts, fresh produce, and taste delicious Cook Island foods.

Afternoon

Explore the Te Vara Nui Village to immerse yourself in Cook Islands' culture. You can watch a live performance showcasing dance and traditional music.

Evening

Enjoy a scenic drive around the island, stopping at viewpoints like the Needle (Te Rua Manga) for panoramic views of Rarotonga. Have dinner at a local restaurant or your accommodation.

Day 3: Adventure and Nature

Morning

Join a lagoon cruise that includes snorkeling and possibly a visit to a motu (small islet). These tours often serve a delicious beachside lunch.

Afternoon

Visit the Rarotonga Cross Island Track for a nature hike. The trail leads you through lush rainforests, offering great views of the island.

Evening

Treat yourself to a relaxing spa experience to unwind from your active day.

Day 4: Watersports and Farewell

Morning

Try stand-up paddleboarding, windsurfing, or kiteboarding at Aroa Beach. You can rent equipment and take lessons if you're a beginner.

Afternoon

Spend your last afternoon at Titikaveka Beach, known for its clear waters and excellent snorkeling opportunities. Pack a picnic and make the most of your last day at the beach.

Evening

Enjoy a farewell dinner at a beachside restaurant and savor your last moments on this beautiful island.
